2011 Glasgow East Community Champion Awards

Bridgeton (often pronounced Brig-ton rather than Bridge-ton) is to the south-east of the city centre. It is bounded by Glasgow Green to the west, Dalmarnock to the east and south and Calton to the north-west at Abercrombie Street/ London Road.

This picture from 1914 was used as part of a calender in 1985 by the People's Palace. Elspeth King, then a curator at the museum, thought faces from the past would help us face the future. (continued)
